One of our pieces we created in class was scratch-art. I created this using a scratch board and a crafting knife. I picked a picture of a lotus flower and captured the detail and highlights in parts of the flower, we consider capturing the highlights "reverse". My intention in creating this was inspired actually by another classmate who was also doing a flower. I specifically like this one because I think it captures many details and shows 3-D sections by the use of hatching.
